Inspired by my current obsessions (Clarice and Debra— my two perfect pet rats), this silver rat pendant honors the tender weirdness of loving small creatures with bad reputations. It’s beautifully sculpted. Solid in your hand. Suspended by the tail like a soft little warning: I’m cute, but I bite.

The Big Rat Necklace is for the emotionally feral, the secretly soft, and the ones who know that rodents aren’t pests—they’re companions.

Dimensions:
The rat from head to tail measures 1 1/4 inches.
The chain is adjustable, measuring 16 inches at its shortest and 20 inches at its longest. 

Materials:
Silver Tone: White brass charm on a stainless steel chain.
Gold Tone: Brass charm on a gold plated, stainless steel rope chain.
Sterling Silver: All parts are solid sterling silver including the chain and charm.
Gold Plate: Sterling silver everything, then plated in 14K gold.

The base metals I use (Silver Tone and Gold Tone) are both 100% brass. White brass is a metallic alloy that is made of copper and zinc. There is no nickel in any of our jewelry. For more information on the metals I use, please see the FAQ's.
